Scheduling Details To Know 

Pre-Production

We should plan to split our days together into 4 hours Film & Travel + 4 hours of Editing that day

We have multiple options on how to break up the hours between filming and editing, but the general categories so far for filming are b-roll of meetings that are confidential, meetings to film, Sync Ups and Business Dev with Mike, Interacting with the JAKT team in a non-business related matter, and Miscellaneous Lifestyle footage

This split of hours is necessary for us to catch up to our current date 

After we catch up we will be able begin editing same day footage using that same system of breaking the day into half filming half editing

Production

Filming is done on Tuesdays and Fridays

After each meeting we need a recap that is a maximum 2 minutes

This allows us to control and maintain the length of each final video edit 

A general work day is 8 hours, if we assume you have 8 meetings the maximum amount of time spent on giving a recap per day should be 16 minutes.  

 

Post-Production

1 Long form video takes between 6 - 8 hours to edit without revisions

Revisions tack on extra hours of work ranging from 1 - 4 hours

We should aim for zero to one revision per video

0 to 1 revisions allow content to be released on time consistently and also not to interrupt the editing of future videos

We should create very detailed guidelines that reduces the possibilities of revisions

Ideally we want a video to be under 15 minutes

the shorter the better as long as we can fit the message or theme of the video into that time frame

Each bullet point / group of dates below takes approximately 6 - 8 hours to edit

April 5th Final Edits of 2.28 - 3.10 

  • 2.28.17 - 1 long form video to be released fully edited  

  • 3.07.17 + 3.10.17 -  Shorter Instagram Journey Videos that are not edited the same style as Youtube / Facebook (no intro song, no end credits little to no b-roll)  What you will see is a lower thirds font saying the Journey and the date.  

April 8th Final Edits of 3.17 - 3.31

  • 3.17.17 - 1 long form video

  • 3.21.17 + 3.31.17 -  Shorter Instagram Journey Videos that are not edited the same style as Youtube / Facebook (no intro song, no end credits little to no b-roll)  What you will see is a lower thirds font saying the Journey and The date.  

The overall reason for this is that your audience watches you on Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube.  Content wise this works seamlessly because there is a new feature on Instagram that allows multiple videos/photos to be uploaded in one post where you can watch and re-watch it by swiping left or right.  Now people can track your Journey each day, stay engaged with consistent updates in order ultimately building anticipation for the Youtube/Facebook long form and you can guide them between platforms strategically with your captions.  This also builds your audience when using the right hashtags each time you post the consistent content.  
These videos are not considered the same thing as short form videos Sasha has been making.  Consider these videos Long form chopped into 1 minute pieces that still tell the same story but on Instagram rather than Facebook or Youtube.
